Turkmen

A new Roman alphabet was officially decreed in 1993 for the Turkmen language that was formerly written in the Cyrillic alphabet. Some of the Roman letters were later changed as confirmed by the Turkmen Standard TDS 565, 1999.

The Cyrillic characters have the following equivalents in the new official Roman alphabet.
